Result: Singida Black Stars 1-1 Stellenbosch FC

Venue: Amaan Stadium
Langelihle Phili made his 50th appearance for the club after starting in the attack alongside Ashley Cupido and Sanele Barns, as the South Africans side looked to make it three wins in a row.
Steve Barker’s charges left it late to defeat AS Otoho last weekend, while Black Stars suffered a 2-0 defeat to CR Belouizdad in Algeria.
Oscarine Masuluke was one of the changes for Stellenbosch and he was called upon to keep the scores level after 24 minutes to keep out a goal-bound strike as the home side upped the tempo after a timid start to the contest.
Stellenbosch, meanwhile, did not have a lot of the ball in the first period, which led to a lack of clear-cut chances in the opposition box.
After a scoreless first half, the visitors broke the deadlock seven minutes after the break, with Phili marking his millstone appearance by netting his sixth goal in all competitions this season.
Barker responded with a double change after the hour mark to freshen up the side as Andre de Jong and Chumani Butsaka replaced Cupido and Thato Kiba for the final 25 minutes of the encounter.
Black Stars threw bodies forward in search of an equaliser and were rewarded on 90 minutes when Marouf Tchakei converted a penalty to earn his side a share of the spoils.
Stellenbosch will now switch focus to Wednesday’s Betway Premiership clash against Stellenbosch FC, which will be their final clash of the year.
Here’s how they lined up:
Stellenbosch: Masuluke, Moloisane, Nkwali, Stanic, Mdaka, Jabaar, Khiba, Palace, Phili, Barns, Cupido
Subs: Ah Shene, Butsaka, De Jong, Gamildien, Mokobodi, Johannesen, Lekoloane
