Cape Town City Wins; Baroka FC Exits Relegation Zone

Cape Town City climbed the league standings following a decisive 3-0 victory over Pretoria University, marking their fourth consecutive match without defeat. Emile Witbooi contributed an assist to Therlo Moosa, while Njabulo Ngcobo scored, and an own goal secured the win for City.

In other matches, Gomora United broke their seven-game winless streak by defeating Highbury FC 1-0. Amajuba’s recent form saw them lose three consecutive games, dropping them out of the top four.

Kruger United continued their impressive form with a 3-1 win against Clinton Larsen’s Venda FC. Ebrahim Seedat opened the scoring for Kruger United, with Deolin Mekoa equalizing before halftime. Mancoba Zwane and an own goal in injury time sealed Kruger’s fifth consecutive victory.

Baroka FC emerged victorious in the Limpopo derby against Black Leopards with a 3-1 scoreline. Bethuel Muzeu initially put Leopards ahead, but Baroka responded with goals from David Mathipi and Siyabonga Vilani, who scored from the penalty spot. Clyde Combi added another to ensure Baroka moved out of the relegation zone while Black Leopards dropped into it.
