Orlando Pirates legend Benedict ‘Tso’ Vilakazi has sent a message to Relebohile Mofokeng, amid his peers, Mohau Nkota and Mbekezeli Mbokazi moving overseas while he remains at the club.
Mofokeng established himself earlier than Nkota and Mbokazi after he was promoted to the Pirates senior team, ahead of the 2023/24 season.

The Sharpeville native attacker had the country standing up and applauding his talent and performances for The Buccaneers, with rumours of clubs abroad interested in his services, dominating the headlines for the past two seasons.
However, Nkota, who got promoted a season after Mofokeng at the Soweto giants, was signed by Saudi Arabian side Al-Ettifaq after the 2024/25 campaign.
Recently, Mbokazi, who only started playing regularly this term under Abdeslam Ouaddou, has been signed by Chicago Fire, half-way through the season, as he is expected to only jet out to the United States after the Africa Cup of Nations in January.
For a player with ambitions also of moving abroad and who is talented as Mofokeng, how would he react to these transfer movements, while he remains at Pirates?
“The one thing I will say to Mofokeng is, that’s why his name is Relebohile Mofokeng and the other one Nkota and the other one Mbokazi,” Vilakazi said, speaking to the Siya crew.

“So, they are not the same. Each and everyone has got his time, his (Mofokeng) time will come, he just needs to continue to focus on his game, keep working hard.
“I know sometimes he will ask himself a lot of questions but he has been doing very well, he must continue to work hard. It doesn’t change who he is. In isiZulu bathi (they say): ‘izinhanhla za bantu azifani’ (people’s luck are not the same).
“So his luck is coming, when the right time comes, his luck will be there and he’s gonna do the best of himself,” Vilakazi added.
