The draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stages took place in Washington, United States on Friday.
The tournament was expanded from 32 teams to 48 for the 2026 edition, which will be hosted in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Not all of the spots for the World Cup have been taken, as six more nations will secure their spot via the play-offs, which will take place next year.
There will be nine African teams at the showpiece next year, with Cape Verde set to make their debut at the tournament.
The opening game of the tournament will see hosts Mexico take on South Africa.
