Man Teams Up With Brother’s Wife To Kill Him After He Discovered Their Secret Love Affair

Man Teams With Brother’s Wife To Kill Him After Affair Exposed

A Zimbabwean man allegedly had an affair with his brother’s wife before the pair teamed up to murder him after the affair was discovered. This shocking case is one of two separate domestic murder incidents reported by police in the space of two days.

According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), the murder of Benjamin Masaiti, aged 43, occurred on 17 December 2025 in Chimanimani. His brother, Tonderai Masaiti, aged 37, has been arrested in connection with the killing. Police allege the murder followed a dispute which “reportedly stemmed from allegations that Tonderai Masaiti was having an affair with Chipo Chirigo who was married to the victim.”

A Lethal Alliance Against A Brother

The ZRP states that the suspect did not act alone in the fatal attack on his brother. They detailed the alleged conspiracy, stating:

“The suspect allegedly assisted his sister-in-law, Chipo Chirigo (45), in attacking the victim.”

This accusation suggests a coordinated assault by the alleged lovers against the husband who had reportedly uncovered their secret.

The police bulletin confirmed that Chipo Chirigo is currently evading capture, noting:

“Chipo Chirigo is on the run. Anyone with information that may assist in the arrest of Chipo Chirigo to report at any nearest Police Station.”

A Second Tragedy Highlights Domestic Violence Toll

This case emerged just one day after another alleged domestic murder in a different province. On 16 December 2025, in Village 7D1, Nyadzonya, Nyazura, Jelous Musasa, aged 35, was arrested.

The ZRP reported:

“The suspect reportedly struck his wife, Monica Tabvuroona (30) all over the body with a log after accusing her of failing to greet him.”

The violence proved fatal, as police confirmed

“The victim sustained severe head injuries and succumbed to the injuries.”

Authorities continue to search for Chipo Chirigo in connection with the Masaiti case. The ZRP used its official social media accounts to appeal for public assistance in locating her.
