#20YearsOfgsport: A Shared Legacy, A Collective Next Chapter

Twenty years ago, we didn’t start gsport with a roadmap or a long-term plan. We started it because women’s sport stories were missing, not because the talent wasn’t there, but because the recognition wasn’t.

“This year, gsport turns 20. That milestone is humbling. And deeply meaningful.”

gsport Founder, Kass Naidoo

Over the last two decades, gsport has grown into more than a newsroom or a recognition platform. It has become a record of moments, a space for voices, and a community built on the belief that women’s sport deserves consistent visibility, credibility, and care.

What makes this milestone special is not just longevity, it’s who has shaped these twenty years.

If gsport has ever told your story, celebrated your achievement, amplified your voice, or stood alongside you, then this moment belongs to you too.

From athletes and administrators to coaches, officials, leaders, media professionals, and advocates, gsport has always been shaped by the people who trusted us with their journeys.

Your stories are woven into this legacy.

Women’s sport has changed significantly since gsport began. There is more attention, more commercial interest, and more belief than there was two decades ago, and that progress matters. But what has also become clear is that visibility alone is not enough.

Sustainable growth requires intention. It requires structure. It requires people and partners who are willing to invest not just in moments, but in long-term impact.

“That’s why this 20-year milestone is not about looking back, it’s about maintaining a clear vision through an inflexion point.”

As gsport enters its third decade, the focus sharpens. The mission remains the same, but the ambition evolves.

The next chapter is about building a stronger, more resilient platform that can continue to serve women’s sport with independence, integrity, and purpose. It’s about ensuring that the stories we tell today are supported in ways that allow them to be told tomorrow, and for generations to come.
