Breaking: ZIMSEC 2025 Ordinary O-Level Examination Results Out Friday

Zimsec 2025 Ordinary Level Results Released At Midday Friday

ZIMSEC will release the 2025 Ordinary Level examination results on Friday, January 9, 2026, at exactly 12 noon, following the release of the Advanced Level results last week. The announcement, confirmed on Thursday, January 15, 2026, now shifts national attention to Ordinary Level candidates who have been awaiting their results.

The development comes days after ZIMSEC published the 2025 Advanced Level examination results, released at midday last week, clearing the way for university applications and scholarship consideration for A-Level learners.

Minister announces Ordinary Level release

The Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Torerayi Moyo, formally announced the Ordinary Level release timetable in a statement on January 15, 2026.

“I am pleased to inform the nation that the 2025 Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) Ordinary Level Examination Results will be officially released tomorrow at 12 noon,” Moyo said.

Introducing his remarks, the minister said the release marked a key point in the academic calendar.

“This marks a significant milestone in our academic calendar, and I wish to commend ZIMSEC for its professionalism, transparency, and commitment to upholding the integrity of our national examinations system,” he said.

The confirmation followed last week’s release of the 2025 Advanced Level results, which had already drawn widespread attention from tertiary institutions and parents.

A-Level results already out

ZIMSEC confirmed that the 2025 Advanced Level examination results were released last week, also at midday, following the successful conclusion of the examination cycle.

In comments issued on January 8, 2026, Moyo reflected on the broader examination process covering both Ordinary and Advanced Level assessments.

“This marks the third consecutive year in which our national examinations have been conducted and concluded without any leakages,” Moyo said.

He attributed the outcome to systems introduced within the education sector.

“It is the direct outcome of deliberate reforms, enhanced monitoring systems, and robust security protocols that we have implemented,” he said.

The minister said these measures were aligned with national priorities.

“These reforms are in alignment with His Excellency President Dr. E.D. Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030, which rightly places quality education at the heart of our national development agenda,” he said.

What Ordinary Level candidates should expect

Thousands of Ordinary Level candidates are expected to begin accessing their results immediately after the official release at 12 noon on Friday. ZIMSEC has advised that results will be available on its official platforms, and schools are expected to follow the standard dissemination procedures already communicated by the council.

Moyo also acknowledged the role played by educators and examination officials during the 2025 examination cycle.

“I wish to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC), our committed educators, and all stakeholders who have worked tirelessly to ensure a transparent, fair, and efficient examination process,” he said.
