JUBA — The governor of South Sudan’s Central Equatoria State on Monday reconstituted the board of the state-owned Equatoria Broadcasting Corporation (EBC) and made a key appointment within the state secretariat, according to gubernatorial decrees seen by Sudans Post.

In the decrees published on social media, Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony named a new board to oversee EBC, the public broadcaster that transmits government information and programming across the state, which hosts the national capital.

Under the new composition, Karlo Arigo Wani was appointed chairperson of the board, with Margaret Peter Abudi named deputy chairperson.

Other members appointed to the board are Rejoice Tio Samson, Faraj Juma Zaid, Anna Nimiriano, Suzy Anthony and James Sekwat Enosa.

In a separate decree, Adil appointed Gemeiza Kakule Kwajok Ajak as deputy secretary general of the revitalized transitional government of Central Equatoria State, a role that supports coordination and administrative functions within the state executive.

The governor thanked outgoing board members and officials for their service and urged the new appointees to carry out their duties with professionalism and integrity, according to the statement accompanying the decrees.

Central Equatoria State remains a key administrative and political hub, hosting Juba, and changes to its public institutions are closely watched by residents and national observers.

The decrees took effect immediately, the statement said.
