Kaizer Chiefs interim coach Cedric Kaze has reflected on the side’s slender win over Golden Arrows in the Betway Premiership on Tuesday night.
A controversial goal from Aden McCarthy was enough to hand the Soweto giants a 1-0 win over Arrows at the FNB Stadium.

Kaze was happy to walk away with the win but admitted that they need to kill the game sooner.
“I believe we started vey well the first half, we had control of the game and we were trying to penetrate the block and we spoke about the importance at the beginning of the game, that is something that can determine the game and we scored on set-piece,” Kaze told SuperSport after the game.
“It gives us the freedom and more confidence to keep playing, just a little bit frustrated we couldn’t score a second goal and kill the game. But I’m very happy with the three points.”
Kaze also spoke of the importance of starting the new year with maximum points ahead of their busy schedule.
“Yes, it’s true that these three points of 2026 are going to give us even as coaches more calmness to work with less pressure and we hope that it’s going to give us a good momentum going into our Sunday game in the CAF Confederation Cup,” Kaze added.
Chiefs will face Zambian outfit ZESCO United in the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday afternoon.
