Lorch has been the subject of discussion of a pending move away from Wydad AC, and reports revealed the 32-year-old has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with the Libyan outfit.
According to WinWin, sources revealed that the deal will cost the Libyan side $1.5 million (R24.1 million), making it the most expensive deal in the club’s history.
“All three parties have agreed on all the terms of the contract, and Al-Ittihad Libyan Club is expected to officially announce the signing of Thembinkosi Lorch for two and a half seasons within the next few hours,” the source said.

It is also reported that the total cost of the deal, including transfer fees and his salary, will exceed $3 million (approximately R48.3 million) over the two-and-a-half-year period.Â
