Simba’s winless start in the CAF Champions League group stages continued following a 1-0 defeat to Esperance Tunis on Saturday evening.
Former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Rushine de Reuck started in defence for Simba in Steve Barker’s first Champions League game.
The Tunisians got the only goal of the game when Burkina Faso forward Jack Diarra opened the scoring in the 21st minute with his first goal in the competition.
The win sees Tunis sit top of Group D while Simba remain bottom without a point after three matches played.
JS Kabylie 0-0 AS FAR Rabat
Both JS Kabylie and AS FAR Rabat remain winless in Group A after a stalemate in Algeria on Saturday evening.
The Algerian side sit bottom of the group with two points, level with FAR Rabat heading into matchday four next weekend.
Power Dynamos 0-0 Rivers United
Power Dynamos and Rivers United settled for a share of the spoils after playing to a goalless draw on Saturday afternoon.
Both Dynamos and United claim their first points but remain in third and fourth respectively in Group A.
Al Ahly 2-0 Young Africans
Al Ahly cemented top spot in Group B with a 2-0 win over Young Africans on Friday evening.
Egypt international Trezeguet continued his fine start to the campaign by netting a brace.
Trezguet has now scored five goals in three group stages matches this season, leading the golden boot race.
