Liverpool Leave It Late To Secure Back-To-Back Wins

Nottingham Forest 0-1 Liverpool

Liverpool made it back-to-back wins in the Premier League with a late 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds were dealt a blow before the start of the clash after Florian Wirtz picked up an injury during the warm-up and had to be replaced by Curtis Jones.

The Reds had been finding it tough to carve out chances for the majority of the clash and it looked as if they were going to miss out maximum points.

Liverpool did have the ball in the back of the net on 88 minutes when -‘s clearance hit Alexis Mac Allister and ricocheted into the back of the net. However, the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) ruled the goal out for a handball on the Argentine.

Mac Allister, however, had the last laugh when he got the winning goal in the seventh minute of time added on.

Crystal Palace 1-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Crystal Palace returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over bottom-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolves were awarded a penalty on the stroke of halftime , but they were unable to capitalise as Toluwalase Arokodare failed to score from 12 yards out.

It got worse for Wolves on the hour mark after they were reduced to ten players when Ladislav Krejci picked up his second yellow card of the contest.

Palace had to wait until the 90th minute to secure the winner thanks to a strike from Evann Guessand.

Sunderland 1-3 Fulham

Fulham registered an impressive 3-1 victory away to Sunderland on Sunday afternoon.

After a goalless first half, the visitors raced into a two-goal lead thanks to a quick-fire brace from Raul Jimenez.

The Black Cats did pull a goal back in the 76th minute through Enzo Le Fee’s penalty, but Alex Iwobi sealed the win for Fulham on 85 minutes.
