Northern Blues and Western Province Lead Charge into SA Indoor IPT Semi-Finals

Day Two of the 2026 South African Indoor Hockey IPT powered by Spar delivered statement wins, dominant set-piece displays and decisive momentum shifts as the semi-final line-ups across all sections were confirmed in eThekwini on Thursday, 26 February 2026.

The A Section continued at UKZN Westville Campus, while the B Section action unfolded at Thomas More College and, with pool stages now complete, attention turns fully to knockout hockey.

Northern Blues opened the day in dominant fashion with a 6–1 win over SG Witsies, showcasing sharp attacking play and consistent set-piece execution.

WP Peninsula edged KZN Raiders 2–1 in a tightly contested encounter before later securing a second win of the day with a 5–2 victory over KZN Inland.

Western Province were clinical in their 5–0 win over KZN Inland and later defeated KZN Raiders 3–1 to continue building momentum.

Southern Gauteng overcame Mpumalanga 5–1 in the morning session, but Northern Blues proved relentless later in the day with a commanding 6–2 victory over Southern Gauteng in one of the standout performances of the section.

SG Witsies added a 4–2 win over Mpumalanga to keep their campaign competitive.

With the pool phase concluded, the semi-final match-ups are now locked in and promise blockbuster encounters.

In the Women’s B Section, Northern Daisies began strongly with an emphatic 8–1 win over Mpumalanga B, before battling to a disciplined 0–0 draw with KZN Mynahs in one of the tightest matches of the day.

KZN Mynahs produced an attacking masterclass in their 11–2 victory over KZN Inland B, showcasing depth and pace throughout.

KZN Inland B responded later with a confident 7–2 win over Mpumalanga B to close out the day positively.
