Arsenal Sink Chelsea, Man Utd Up To Third

Arsenal 2-1 Chelsea

Arsenal restored their five-point lead at the top of the Premier League after defeating Chelsea 2-1 at Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners broke the deadlock with one of their trademark corners as William Saliba nodded home from close range after some good work by Gabriel.

Chelsea were able to level matters via a corner of their own as Gunners defender Piero Hincapié deflected Reece James’ corner into his own net.

Arsenal restored their lead in the 66th minute when Jurrien Timber headed home from Declan Rice’s corner.

The Blues finished the game with ten players after Pedro Neto was given his marching four minutes later after picking up his second yellow card.

Manchester United 2-1 Crystal Palace

Manchester United jumped to third spot with a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils made just one change from the win over Everton as match-winner Benjamin Sesko came in for Amad Diallo.

The visitors took a surprising lead after just three minutes when Maxence Lacroix sent a fine header into the far corner.

United were given a lifeline ten minutes after the break after being awarded a penalty after Matheus Cunha was fouled by Lacroix, who was sent off. Bruno Fernandes stepped up and calmly slotted home.

The Red Devils completed the turnaround in the 65th minute when Fernandes turned provider to pick out Sesko, who headed past Dean Henderson.

Fulham 2-1 Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur suffered back-to-back losses under new coach Igor Tudor after going down 2-1 to Fulham.

Fulham raced into a two-goal lead in the first half thanks to goals from Harry Wilson and Alex Iwobi.

Richarlison did pull a goal back in the 66th minute for Spurs, but the hosts were able to hold on for the win.

Brighton and Hove Albion 2-1 Nottingham Forest

Brighton and Hove Albion made it back-to-back wins in the league after defeating Nottingham Forest 2-1 on Sunday afternoon.

Goals from Diego Gomez and Danny Welbeck in the first half were enough to get the job done for Brighton, while Morgan Gibbs-White netted for Forest.
