Cape Verde qualified for the World Cup for the first time in their history after defeating Eswatini 3-0 in their final qualifier on Monday evening.
The Blue Sharks staged an impressive late comeback to secure a point against Libya last week to cement top spot coming into this clash.
Dailon Rocha Livramento broke the deadlock against Eswatini in the 48th minute, before Willy Semedo doubled the home side’s lead ten minutes after the halftime break.
The hosts managed to bag a third goal in second-half stoppage time thanks to a strike from Stopira.
Cape Verde manage to finish ahead of African giants Cameroon and will be heading to the United States next year.
Cameroon 0-0 Angola
Cameroon had to settle for second place in Group D following a goalless draw against Angola on Monday evening.
The Indomitable Lions did not have fate in their own hands coming into the clash, but they were also looking to finish in second spot.
The point against Angola was enough to seal second place as group leaders Cape Verde beat Eswatini.
Lesotho 1-0 Zimbabwe
Lesotho ended their World Cup qualifying campaign on a high with a 1-0 win over Zimbabwe at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Both sides had nothing left to play for except pride, but it was the hosts who got maximum points thanks to a strike from Hlompho Kalake in second-half stoppage time.
Tunisia 3-0 Namibia
Group H winners Tunisia ended their qualifying campaign on a high after thrashing Namibia 3-0 on Monday afternoon.
Ali Abdi, Hannibal Mejbri and Ferjani Sassi were on target for the North African outfit, who finished the campaign unbeaten.
Namibia, meanwhile, finish in second spot with 15 points.
