Defending champions Pyramids enjoyed a positive start in the CAF Champions League group stages after defeating Rivers United 3-0 on Saturday night.
After a scoreless first half, Ahmed Atef bagged a brace in the opening 15 minutes of the second half to put the hosts two goals up.
The Egyptian attacker rounded of a good evening by completing his hat-trick in 73rd minute.
RS Berkane 3-0 Power Dynamos
RS Berkane marked their debut in the group stages with a 3-0 win over Zambian side Power Dynamos.
An own goal from Aaron Katebe and a solitary strike from Mounir Chouiar put the Moroccans 2-0 up in the opening 16 minutes of the first half.
Paul Bassene rounded off the scoring for the hosts after converting a penalty in the 66th minute.

Al Ahly 4-1 JS Kabylie
12-time winners Al Ahly made a positive start after thrashing JS Kabylie 4-1 in Cairo on Saturday evening.
The Egyptians got off to the perfect start after racing into a two-goal lead in the first half thanks to goals from Trezeguet and Mohamed Sherif.
Josef Zinnbauer’s side pulled goal back on 57 minutes through Mohamed El Shenawy’s own goal.
However, Trezeguet bagged his second and Al Ahly’s third on 84 minutes, before an own goal from Mohamed Hadid in second-half stoppage time sealed the win for the hosts.
Young Africans 1-0 AS FAR
Young Africans started their group stage campaign with a 1-0 victory over AS FAR Rabat on Saturday afternoon.
Prince Dube got the only goal of the game for the Tanzanian Premier League champions in the 58th minute.

Esperance 0-0 Stade Malien
Esperance and Stade Malien settled for a share of the spoils after playing to a 1-1 draw on Saturday evening.
The second clash in Group between Simba and Petro Atletico will take place on Sunday.
