Bulls Daisies and Western Province Set for Round 4 Clash in Saturday’s Women’s Rugby Super League
The 2026 Pick n Pay Women’s Super League 1 moves to its decisive second half with the title race sharpening into focus as South Africa’s top eight women’s provincial sides return to the field for Round 4 of the competition at venues across the nation on Saturday, 7 March, 2026.
Defending champions the Isuzu Bulls Daisies have started their title defence with three consecutive wins, and they have looked every bit the benchmark again in 2026, particularly after having opened their campaign with a record-breaking 100-0 demolition of the Border Ladies in East London.
In this weekend’s headline tie, the Daisies’s opponents DHL Western Province have been just as emphatic, racing to a 51-19 win over the Sharks Women on opening weekend, before recording a 53-5 bonus-point victory over the Golden Lions Women in Bellville two weekends ago, solidifying their prospects with an admirable third round 24-7 victory over the Border Ladies in East London.
Those two sides now meet this Saturday at Bellville’s Rosina Paarwater Stadium in the pick of the Round 4 fixtures, with kick-off at 13h00. Western Province have been boosted by the return of Babalwa Latsha, the most capped prop in South African women’s rugby, who rejoined the provincial scene after two years with Harlequins Women in England, and the tighthead’s power and experience in the front row have been central to WP’s dominance in the set piece and their ability to build platform ball.

Their only loss came in Pretoria, where the Daisies were too powerful. With both sides looking to stay in title contention, Saturday’s clash in Gqeberha carries enormous stakes.
The remaining two fixtures offer an opportunity for the competition’s struggling sides to build momentum. The Golden Lions Women host the Border Ladies at the Alberton Rugby Club with kick-off at 12:00. The Golden Lions secured their first win of the season in Round 3, defeating the Free State Women 48-32 in a high-scoring contest that delivered 14 tries.
