Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze has silenced any talk of getting revenge against Stellenbosch ahead of their Nedbank Cup Last 32 clash on Wednesday.
Chiefs were knocked out in the first round of the Carling Knockout by Stellenbosch FC on penalties earlier in the season, but the two teams will meet once again at the DHL Stadium for a first-round Nedbank Cup tie.

Kaze insists the Soweto giants will go into this game looking for a win as they look to defend the cup they won last campaign.
“It is true that Stellenbosch eliminated us in the Carling Cup. That’s the beauty of those knockout games because you can talk about that after that Carling game we were the better team on the field and controlled the whole game and had many opportunities to score but unfortunately we lost on penalties. That is the beauty of the game, when you play little you can expect big rewards. But there is no revenge in football. It is just another game that we need to prepare for thoroughly and try to have a good performance to expect a very good result,” Kaze told the media.
The Burundian-born coach further stated that there will always be pressure on Chiefs in cup competitions.

“The pressure is there despite even the fact that being champions a club like Kaizer Chiefs has pressure on a daily basis.
“That is what comes with the badge. We know that the pressure will be there and we will go with.”
