Orlando Pirates rising star Cemran Dansin has opened up after scoring a spectacular equaliser in the 1-1 draw against Mamelodi Sundowns at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Saturday, a goal that has already become one of the standout moments of the Betway Premiership season.

Still in his maiden campaign with the Buccaneers, the School of Excellence graduate announced himself on the biggest stage in style, silencing those who doubted whether he could handle the pressure of a top-of-the-table clash against the reigning champions.

Speaking to the club’s media team after the match, Dansin reflected on the moment and the faith shown in him by coach Abdeslam Ouaddou and his teammates.

“I’m happy for the coaches and my players, the staff believing in me and giving me the opportunity, and scoring in such a big game means a lot to me,” said the youngster.

“I hope to keep on going and getting more chances to play. The coach always speaks to me about not looking at my age and being competitive. Playing for this club is an honour for me, so every time I get the opportunity, I try and give my best and not worry too much about me being the youngest. I’m just looking to fight and give everything.”

The midfielder’s composure and confidence under pressure drew praise from fans and pundits alike, with his goal securing a crucial point for Pirates in a tense and physical encounter against their fiercest rivals.
