Tyrone Green and Jeremy Ward got on the scoresheet again as South Africa’s foreign legion impressed in the Top 14 and English Premiership.
French Top 14
Jeremy Ward dotted down for the third consecutive weekend as Stade Français edged a 26-24 win against La Rochelle at the Stade Jean Bouin in Paris.
Former Bulls and Bok No 8 Arno Botha started for Lyon in their 44-19 victory against Perpignan. Lock Janse Roux came off the bench for Lyon, while second rower Jaco van Tonder and flyhalf Tristan Tedder appeared for Perpignan.
Hooker Ru-Hann Greyling and centre JT Jackson featured from the bench for Montauban in their 32-28 defeat to Castres Olympique.
Carlu Sadie anchored the Bordeaux Begles scrum in their heavy 56-13 loss to Toulouse. Tiaan Jacobs made an appearance as a replacement lock for Bordeaux.
English Premiership
Fullback Tyrone Green crossed the whitewash as Harlequins secured a 20-14 win against Saracens at Twickenham Stoop. Scrumhalf Ivan van Zyl captained the visitors in the London derby.
Five South Africans featured in the Sale Sharks’ 57-5 hammering of the Newcastle Red Bulls in Manchester. Flanker Ernst van Rhyn and centre Rob du Preez crossed the whitewash, while Hyron Andrews packed down at lock and former Lion Marius Louw marshalled the midfield. Former Bulls and Sharks fullback Boeta Chamberlain started for Newcastle.

Benhard Janse van Rensburg started at inside centre for the Bristol Bears in their 18-14 win against the Exeter Chiefs. The Chiefs were missing former Stomers duo Joseph Dweba and Kwenzo Blose in the front row.

Former Sharks and Stade Français lock JJ van der Mescht ran out for the Northampton Saints in an entertaining 32-26 win against the Leinster Tigers. Heinro Liebenberg started at flank for the Tigers.
Former Lions and Sharks flank James Venter started for Gloucester in their 38-17 defeat to Johann van Graan’s Bath. Front-row stalwart Franz van Wyk and former Bulls scrumhalf Neil le Roux featured off the bench for Bath.
