Former Raja Club Athletic coach, Lassad Chabbi, has reportedly broken his silence on his exit from the club.

Chabbi was relieved of his duties with The Green Eagles after taking over at the club in February this year, with Fadlu Davids leaving his post at Simba SC in favour of a return to Raja.
Raja chiefs revealed that Chabbi was dismissed after the club was not convinced by his performances, and the club believed the Tunisian was not the right candidate to lead the club, forcing the changes.
According to a Moroccan publication, Barlamanesport, Chabbi expressed his true feelings following his dismissal, where he revealed that he took over at a time when Raja were struggling to keep hold of managers.
“Raja were close to being relegated to the second division of the Moroccan league,” Chabbi said. “When I joined, I was the fifth coach the club had hired that season, at a time when no coach wanted to take on the challenge of saving the team,” he added.
“Even Raja’s own people refused to take responsibility and walked away, because the team was on the verge of the relegation play-offs. I sacrificed my reputation and agreed to take charge.”
The 64-year-old boldly claimed that when he moved to Raja, he made a sacrifice for his career to get the club back on the right track.
“I sacrificed my career and my titles, but I managed to put Raja back on the right track.”
Al3omk Sport reported that Chabbi’s dismissal from the club had hit him hard, and he could not control his emotions after an unbeaten start to the season.
“I’m a human being with feelings — when I see injustice, I cry,” he said. “I felt wronged because I gave everything to Raja. Even Saddam Hussein cried during the Gulf War, so why wouldn’t I? When they asked him, he said it was out of a sense of injustice. My tears during a radio interview were purely human, not for show.”

“I know it was the president’s decision, but I couldn’t control myself — I felt the injustice deeply and cried spontaneously,” he concluded.
