Mamelodi Sundowns defender Grant Kekana reserved special praise goalkeeper Ronwen Williams, who was nominated for the CAF Goalkeeper of the Year award.
The Bafana Bafana shot-stopper won the prestigious award last year and is certainly among the favourites once again this year.

Kekana is delighted to see how far Williams gone in his career, having played with the goalkeeper at SuperSport United.
“I’m happy and so proud of him because we started at the same time at SuperSport. We also played together, against each other at development level. And for him to reach the level that he has at such consistent basis is no fluke,” Kekana told media at Chloorkop on Thursday.
“I think everyone could see from a young age that he has that presence about him,”
Kekana further stated that Williams is always working hard and hopes that he comes back with the award.

“He is always working hard, always willing to learn, always willing to help the next person,” he added.
“He is representing himself well, but also the club and his family and all we do is cheer him on and wish him the best. We hope that he can come back with the award.”
