Arsenal 2-3 Manchester United
Manchester United secured back-to-back wins under Michael Carrick after defeating Premier League leaders Arsenal 3-2 on Sunday evening.
The Red Devils were unchanged from the win over Manchester City, while Gabriel Jesus started ahead of Viktor Gyökeres in the Gunners attack.
The Gunners took the lead in the 29th minute when Jurrien Timber turned home Martin Odegaard’s cross in the six-yard area.
United were back on level terms in the 37th minute when Bryan Mbeumo pounced on Martin Zubimendi’s poor back pass and calmly slotted home in the box.
The visitors completed thee turnaround on 52 minutes when Patrick Dorgu combined with before sending a superb volley into the top corner.
Arsenal did get back on level terms when Mikel Merino bundled the ball home from close range on 84 minutes, before substitute Matheus Cunha restored United’s lead three minutes later with a superb finish from distance.
Crystal Palace 1-3 Chelsea
Chelsea registered a 3-1 win over London rivals Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday afternoon.
After a quiet opening, the Blues took the lead in the 32nd minute when the returning Estêvão grabbed his second league goal with a lovely individual finish.
The lead was doubled five minutes after the break as Estevao turned provider to pick out Joao Pedro, who fired home from close range, before Enzo Fernandez scored from the penalty spot to seal a third goal for the Blues.
Palace did bag a consolation through Chris Richards late on while Adam Wharton was sent off after picking up a second yellow card.
Newcastle United 0-2 Aston Villa
Aston Villa got back to winning ways in the league with a 2-0 win away to Newcastle United.
Unai Emery’s charges found the breakthrough in the 19th minute through Emiliano Buendia, who found the back of the net with a powerful finish.
Ollie Watkins made the points safe in the 88th minute after turning home a cross from Luca Digne.
Brentford 0-2 Nottingham Forest
Nottingham Forest restored their five-point lead above the relegation zone with a 2-0 win over Brentford.
The visitors took the lead after 12 minutes courtesy of a strike from Igor Jesus, who bagged his second league goal of the season, before Taiwo Awoniyi doubled the lead late in the second half.
