Nabi posts ‘cryptic message to co-coaches’ after Chiefs derby loss

Former Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi appeared to have send a cryptic message to his former asisstants after Amakhosi’s 3-0 loss to Orlando Pirates.

Amakhosi suffered their third league defeat after going down to the Buccaneers at the FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Nabi, who was in charged of Chiefs for 14 months, was dismissed in October, with his then assistants Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze promoted as co-coaches for the rest of the season.

After his departure, the Tunisian tactician posted a farewell message and thanked strength and conditioning coach Safi Majdi as well as goalkeepers’ coach Elyes Mzoughi. He left out his assistants which has sparked speculations on whether Nabi was backstabbed.

Nabi post message after Chiefs loss to Pirates

“Out of arrogance upon the earth and evil plotting. But evil plotting only falls back upon those who devised it …,” Nabi wrote on social media.

“And Allah knows well the wrongdoers. They had also sought discord and had upset matters for you until the truth came and the command of Allah prevailed, though they were averse … If good befalls you, it grieves them, but if misfortune strikes you, they say, ‘We had taken our precautions beforehand,’ and they turn away while rejoicing.

“And they had planned their plan, but their plan was known to Allah, even if their plan had been such as to move mountains,” added the Tunisian as per GOAL.

“They planned, and Allah also planned. And Allah is the best of planners.”

Nabi was the last Chiefs coach to win a trophy at the club. He ended their 10-year trophy drought when he guided them to the Nedbank triumph in May last year.
