Sede Junior Dion celebrates his goal during the Betway Premiership match between Stellenbosch FC and Golden Arrows
Sede Junior Dion’s resurgence at Golden Arrows has not gone unnoticed, with indications that attention around the Ivorian forward is beginning to pick up again as he enjoys one of the brightest starts to a season in his PSL career.
Having joined Abafana Bes’thende from AmaZulu in July, Dion has quickly become a central figure in Manqoba Mngqithi’s attack.

The 27-year-old has produced eight goal contributions in 14 matches – seven goals in the Betway Premiership and an assist in the Carling Knockout – form that currently places him at the top of the league’s scoring charts.
Insiders close to the situation suggest that Dion’s performances have quietly reignited interest across the Premiership, with several clubs believed to be keeping tabs on his progress.
Those monitoring the situation point to his consistency, work rate, and growing confidence under Mngqithi as key factors behind the renewed attention.
There is also a sense that Dion thrives when given a defined role in a structured system, something he appears to have found at Arrows.
His ability to respond to coaching demands, coupled with his goal return, is said to have prompted clubs to reassess him as a potential target as the season unfolds.
While the level of interest has not yet escalated into formal approaches, the feeling among observers is that Dion’s continued scoring could significantly intensify the demand for his services later in the campaign.
“Dion is doing very well at the moment and he’s one of the top performers under coach Manqoba Mngqithi at Arrows. He’s never been a bad player – with him, it often comes down to the coach and the environment. He always gives his best and he works hard. He’s currently the league’s top goal scorer, and there are clubs already showing interest. He just needs to keep working and keep scoring. If he continues like this, the demand will only grow. For now, there is already some interest,” a source told the Siya crew.

This would not be the first time the striker has attracted widespread attention. Earlier in his South African journey – notably during his spell with Marumo Gallants – he drew monitoring from top-flight clubs including Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch FC before eventually moving on. Now, with his form peaking again, it appears that the conversation around his future is beginning to resurface.
