Orbit College head coach Pogiso Makhoye feels his side had a good game plan against Mamelodi Sundowns until the floodlight failure in the first half.
The top-flight debutants started the new year with a 2-0 loss to the defending Betway Premiership champions at Loftus Versfeld on Monday evening.

The game was delayed for a few minutes after the 20-minute mark due to floodlight failure but when the clash resumed, Sundowns immediately took the lead through Arthur Sales.
“I think we had a very good game plan, until the game had to be stopped because of the lights, I even said to my assistant ‘eish I’m worried about this break because we doing so well it’s going to affect us,” Makhoye told SuperSport after the game.
“I think from then we made a mistake from the keeper (and conceded) because we contained them especially up to that break. We made sure we restrict them in terms of getting shots on target, and in the second half forced substitution from the keeper and after that we lose the momentum at the back again.
“We allowed a cross because the whole first half we didn’t allow them to make crosses so that one cross spoiled it for me, but I’m happy we competed, we came here we fought.
“Now, we are playing catch-up, Potsane is coming back from four months, we pushed him for 90 minutes and he was supposed to play 60, Mabele on 15 minutes of the last 90 minutes to help them. But I’m happy we competed today.”
