The club’s goalkeeper coach has been absent from the touchline since the serious accident involving the team last year. It was an incident that left several members of the travelling party injured.

Among those affected were defender Tapelo Xoki and head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou, while Damons suffered a significant neck injury that ruled him out for an extended period.

Since then, the Rabie Ridge native has been focused on recovery, with his presence at Orlando Amstel Arena in recent months offering an encouraging sign that progress was being made.

Now, insiders have indicated that Damons has taken another important step forward, having resumed training duties with the squad.

While he has not yet returned to the bench on matchdays, his reintegration into the training environment marks a major milestone both personally and professionally. His experience and close working relationship with the club’s goalkeepers have been missed during his time away.
