CR Belouizdad manager Sead Ramovic is reportedly set to miss his team’s next four games due to suspension and may miss a rematch with his managerial rival, Rulani Mokwena.

The Ligue Professionnelle 1 Disciplinary Committee revealed that Ramovic will serve a four-game suspension and faces a fine of 100,000 Algerian Dinar (R12 000) for his protests against the officials, Footalgerie reported.

Ramovic was allegedly incensed by some decisions made by the referee during Belouizdad’s 1-0 defeat to JS Kabylie last week.

The 46-year-old’s suspension means he will not be allowed to enter the change rooms, tunnels, playing field or be near the bench for the duration of the suspension.

The off-field drama has not affected his team on the field, as Ramovic’s side secured a place in the Algerian Cup quarter-finals with a 3-0 thumping of second-division side ASM Oran, Pan-Africa Football reported.

Belouizdad are now one of the eight teams left in the competition, with three quarter-final spots still up for grabs.

The win meant The Reds set up a mouthwatering clash with MC Alger, where Ramovic will reignite his touchline rivalry with Rulani Mokwena.

However, due to his ban, the former TS Galaxy boss may not be on the sidelines to face Mokwena directly should the game take place during the suspension, as the dates for the fixtures have not yet been confirmed.
