Record-Breaking Haaland Nets Twice In 9-Goal Thriller

Fulham 4-5 Manchester City

Manchester City moved to within two points of Premier League leaders Arsenal with a thrilling 5-4 win over Fulham.

The Cityzens broke the deadlock on 16 minutes when Erling Haaland bagged his 100th league with a powerful finish from Jeremy Doku’s cross.

In doing so, Haaland become the fastest player to reach that target in 111 matches, breaking Alan Shearer’s record of 124 appearances.

The lead was doubled in the 37th minute when Haaland turned provider to play in Reijnders, who calmly lobbed Bernd Leno.

Phil Foden extended City’s lead with a lovely strike, but Emile Smith-Rowe gave Fulham a lifeline on the stroke of halftime.

The visitors came out firing and bagged two more goals through Foden’s second on the night and Jeremy Doku.

Fulham stage a comeback through Alex Iwobi and a brace from substitute Samuel Chukwueze, but City were able to hold out for the win.

Newcastle United 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur came back on two occasions to secure a 2-2 draw against Newcastle United.

The Magpies broke the deadlock on 71 minutes as Bruno Guimaraes pounced on a loose ball in the box and slotted into the far corner.

Spurs got back on level terms seven minutes later through Cristian Romero’s towering header, however, Spurs got the winning goal on 85 minutes when Anthony Gordon converted a penalty.

However, Romero had the last laugh after netting the equaliser on 95 minute with an acrobatic effort.

Bournemouth 0-1 Everton

Everton got back to winning ways in the league with a 1-0 triumph away to AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday night.

On-loan Manchester City attacker Jack Grealish got the only goal of the game in the 78th minute.

The win sees David Moyes’ men move up to tenth spot.
