Now the Siya crew has been reliably informed that former SA U-20 coach Thabo Senong is earmarked for the post of head coach at Zimbabwe giants Highlanders.

The Bulawayo giants, who celebrate a century of their existence this month, parted ways with Dutch coach Pieter de Jong and are head hunting Senong.

Initially their financial benefactor Wicknell Chivayo reportedly encouraged them to hire legendary Benjani Mwaruwari and offered to pay his salary.

But this publication has been further informed that while they are keen to bring in Mwaruwari, the former Portsmouth striker, known as the “Undertaker”, would be taken on board but as Sporting Director.
