The Buccaneers come into the clash on the back of a CAF Champions League exit at the hands of Saint-Éloi Lupopo.

Pirates managed to win 3-0 to make it 3-3 on aggregate, but ended up losing on penalties.

In the cup, the Soweto giants overcame Siwelele 1-0 in the previous round thanks to a stunning strike from Mbekezeli Mbokazi.

Magesi, meanwhile, booked their spot in the quarter-finals with a 3-2 win over AmaZulu in Durban before the international break.

Thesee two sides also met in the first round of this competition last season, where Magesi claimed a shock 3-2 win at Orlando Stadium.
