Allan Freese is convinced that the introduction of Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze could be beneficial to the betterment of Kaizer Chiefs.

After parting ways with head coach Nasereddine Nabi, Kaizer Chiefs put the two assistants, Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze, as co-coaches.

Now, former Platinum Stars and Highlands Park coach Allan Freese has said that having co-coaches is not a new thing, and that it allows them to unify their vision for the betterment of the team.

In an exclusive interview with Soccer Laduma, Freese said that if two coaches put their minds together, it can produce positive results.

“Man, I’m not going to interfere in Chiefs’ things. Really, I’m not because it’s not a new thing. It’s happened before. I’ve seen teams that have two coaches, co-coaches. So it’s not like it’s a new thing.

“Sometimes those guys they make up to become head coaches. So maybe also there are two guys there with different thinking of how things should be done, but I think it’s given time a little bit. Maybe they can find a solution where both coaches’ philosophies can be incorporated into one, or you know, they can work together. So, we just wait and see if that can happen,” the former Wydad Casablanca Technical Director observed.

The two assistant coaches took over the coaching reigns at the club after the departure of head coach Nasereddine Nabi. Though they are yet to cement their places at the club, they haven’t lost any league game since they took over as co-coaches.
