Wicknell Chivayo Gifts Highlanders FC Officials Luxury Cars After Win Over Dynamos
Businessman Wicknell Chivayo has offered luxury vehicles and cash rewards to Highlanders FC officials following the club’s 1-0 victory over Dynamos FC.
He declared that Bosso are poised for a strong 2026 Premier Soccer League campaign.
Taking to Facebook, Wicknell Chivayo praised the team’s leadership and performance, saying the win signalled that Highlanders are “on the rise” and ready to offer stiff competition in the upcoming season.

Luxury Vehicles for Club Leadership
In recognition of the victory, Chivayo announced that several senior figures at the club would receive brand-new vehicles, which he said had already been fully paid for.
Head coach Benjani Mwaruwari is set to receive a 2026 Ford Everest 3.0D Limited Edition valued at US$92,000. Club chairman Luke Mnkandla will collect a Toyota Fortuner 2.8 GD6 worth US$80,500, while substantive chief executive officer Denzil Mnkandla is earmarked for a Toyota Fortuner 2.4 GD6 valued at US$72,500.
Highlanders Legends Team chairman Madinda Ndlovu will also receive a Toyota Fortuner 2.4 GD6 valued at US$72,500.
Chivayo said the club’s curator, Jabulani Nkomo, should accompany the leadership to Harare to collect the vehicles from a local dealership.
Cash Incentives and Additional Support
Beyond the vehicles, Chivayo pledged US$10,000 each to the beneficiaries for fuel and expenses. He further announced an additional US$10,000 for Nkomo and another US$10,000 for his wife in appreciation of her support.
US$1 Million Sponsorship Fulfilled
Chivayo also revealed that he would immediately disburse the remaining US$500,000 from a previous pledge, bringing his total sponsorship to Highlanders to US$1 million.
He expressed hope that the financial injection would enable the club to strengthen its squad, sign new players and improve player welfare ahead of the 2026 season.
Eyes on 2026 PSL Title Push
With the financial backing now confirmed, Chivayo challenged the club to focus on delivering results and reclaiming its status as one of the dominant forces in Zimbabwean football.
He said he expects 2026 to mark a turning point for Highlanders as they seek to reassert themselves in the Premier Soccer League.
