Zimbabwe have secured a place in the Super 8 stage of the T20 World Cup after their Group B match against Ireland in Sri Lanka was abandoned due to persistent rain.

The much-anticipated clash was called off without a ball being bowled as wet conditions made play impossible. With the points shared, Zimbabwe did enough in the group standings to advance to the next round.
