Zimbabweans Praise Warriors’ Stylish AFCON Formal Wear

Zimbabweans have taken to social media to applaud the Warriors’ official formal wear ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), with many fans describing the outfits as stylish, bold and proudly Zimbabwean.

The excitement follows the release of images shared by the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA), showing the national team dressed in sharp formal attire as they prepare for the continental showpiece in Morocco.

ZIFA Showcases Warriors’ Look for Morocco

In a post shared on Facebook, ZIFA unveiled the Warriors’ formal wear, highlighting the team’s readiness for AFCON both on and off the pitch.

“Our boys are ready for Morocco. Sharp, confident, and proudly Zimbabwean. As the Warriors prepare to take on Africa’s best in Morocco, they do so dressed in style,” ZIFA said, adding that the outfits reflect national pride as the team prepares to face Africa’s best.

The association noted that the formal wear symbolises more than fashion, representing Zimbabwe’s identity as the Warriors step onto the continental stage.

 

National Fabric Takes Centre Stage

The formal wear is the result of a collaboration between 4May International, ZIFA’s official formal wear partner, and the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority. The design incorporates national fabric, blending modern style with cultural identity.

ZIFA said the partnership was aimed at showcasing Zimbabwe’s heritage while promoting confidence and unity within the team as they travel from Harare to Morocco.

The unveiling sparked a wave of positive reactions online, with many Zimbabweans flooding the comment section with praise.

Fans described the suits as “sleek” expressing pride in how the team will represent the nation off the field.

Some supporters jokingly suggested that the Warriors should consider playing matches in the formal wear, arguing that the suits look better than the recently unveiled AFCON playing kits.
