NUBIAN NOTES Concert Set to Make History Celebrating Women in Music

Preparations for the highly anticipated NUBIAN NOTES – A Celebration of Women in Music concert are at an advanced stage.

Gateway Stream Media confirmed that all logistics are in place for the November 8 event at the Harare International Convention Centre (HICC).

Hosted under the theme “Mambokadzi – The Rise of Her Sound,” the concert is set to make history as Zimbabwe’s biggest all-female music celebration.

Star-Studded Lineup Promises an Unforgettable Night

Fans can expect powerhouse performances from award-winning artists Feli Nandi, Gemma Griffiths, Tamy Moyo, Shashl, and Nisha Ts.

The night will honour womanhood, creativity, and the vibrant spirit of Zimbabwean music.

“Preparations are going as planned, and the energy from the fans has been overwhelmingly positive.

Ticket sales are moving well, and it’s clear that people are ready for this one-of-a-kind celebration of women in music,” said Gateway Stream Media Manager Elton Kurima.

Kurima added that the show continues Gateway Stream Media’s mission to celebrate local talent.

“By partnering with these incredible women, we are not just hosting a concert; we are building an ecosystem that supports artistry and creativity,” he said.

A Celebration for Everyone

Kurima passionately emphasized that while the concert features an all-female lineup, its appeal is universal. He stressed that the event is intended for every music lover, regardless of age or gender.

“Yes, it’s an all-female lineup — but this show is for everyone. We want every music lover, young or old, male or female, to experience the concert — a celebration of sound, strength, and togetherness,” Kurima stressed.

ZAR Events founder Connie Mazani promised fans a night filled with electrifying performances.

“Get ready for an unforgettable night. Our upcoming event promises to dazzle with captivating DJs and an immersive atmosphere,” she said.

Becky K from Capitalk and KVG from StarFM will host the event, while DJ Yahya Goodvibes will be on the decks for the night.

Artists Share What Fans Can Expect

Award-winning artist Shashl said women are reshaping creativity across industries.

“We are no longer just participants; we are innovators, leaders, and visionaries shaping culture in real time. Fans can expect an experience, not just a performance — soulful, heartfelt, and full of real stories.”

Gemma Griffiths described the event as long overdue.

“It’s about time we had something like this. I want people to leave inspired and feeling part of something bold, honest, and magical. My set will share pieces of my journey through love, life, and growth,” she said.

Tamy Moyo teased an electrifying performance.

“There are moments that even the stage won’t see coming. It’s a performance that blurs the line between story and soul. You’ll have to be there to feel it.”

Feli Nandi expressed her excitement, saying,

“It’s more than a show; it’s a statement. Women belong at the front. Expect fireworks — we are even inviting some male collaborators to join us!”

Tickets and Attendance Details

Tickets are now available at Rainbow Towers Hotel and all MedOrange Pharmacies in Harare.

Standard tickets are $15, while VIP tickets are $30. Online tickets can be purchased via Gateway Stream Events. Organisers have advised that no tickets will be sold on the day of the concert.
